I am currently in Vermont, "Remont" as BA would call it. The trip is normally an easy 3.5 hour ride with one stop for potty breaks and a snack. Once we had a trip that took us 7 hours, back in August of 2005. BA was just an itty bitty then and I was all about showing him off. Im not sure exactly what I was thinking traveling with him, but he was not into it. He screamed the majority of the trip with us pulling over every hour or so to regain sanity and try and calm him to sleep for a bit. With that said, we swore then that we would hold off on bringing AJ for a trip until we knew he was ok with the car seat and car rides overall. Having proven himself in past trips we have been traveling distances for about 20 months now as a family of 4. This trip however, was another record breaker. We made it here in 5.5 hours. AJ cried and screamed and squirmed until FINALLY falling asleep about an hour away. Needless to say I am anxiously awaiting the trip home tomorrow. I will keep you posted.....
As a side note.. the boys have been FANTASTIC!! And it has been great to see my family and spend time hanging out with everyone-well almost everyone..
A glimpse into the life of a girl surrounded by boys. There is never a dull moment, let alone a free one.

Confession
I have come to terms with the obvious fact that I am terrible at this. I need to get it into my "routine" somehow. I really like the idea and have so much fun following other blogs, I would love to be more successful. Any ideas??
Maybe I should just not work that would free up some time. HA! What a fabulous feat that would be.
So I am going to REALLY TRY and keep up with this. Thanks to Mama H for the daily reminders-HAHA!
Alright.. update for me since Halloween-EEK!
Conjunctivitis circled the house-that was a treat. i had to create an imaginary bubble for AJ since he cannot have anything icky near his eyes until his stitches come out (in January). I cleaned my house so much I think I may take some time off and let it dirty up some.
I am currently on the job market-any one know of a local job paying decent $$--Sign me up!!
Then on the other hand--Im taking any pointers one can offer on becoming more frugal. I would love to not work at all, but I need to find ways to save before cutting out 1/3 of our income.
Enough for today.. ta ta for now..

Halloween
We brought the kids out for Trick or Treating, and I have to say, I felt like I was in the minority. What in the world happened to Halloween?? Where did it go? I remember planning my costume for the whole month of October and being so excited when I could finally wear it! I would then have at least enough candy to last me a couple of weeks. It was like a kids dream!
We saw 3 groups of kids while we were out for a total of 15 kids. One of those groups consisted of a little boys Halloween party!
I always thought that my kids were too young for me to truly get the full effect of the Halloween excitement I used to have. As the years pass by though, Im still not feeling it and it looks like nobody else is either.
Surely, by the time my kids are in school, they wont be dressing up to go out and get candy; they will likely be heading off to a party or not at all.
How sad that such a fun filled night will literally be gone in about 5 years. And really.. you figure at some point.. what remember will be ancient history. So sad..

Frogs--EEK!!
So who knew that one day your childs beloved night time pal could become the cause of such chaos all because of a small piece of thread!
AJ has a small sock frog that he has grown to love, they share a crib. Each night it has become routine to list all the facial parts (eye, other eye, mouth, nose, ear, other ear) of this little frog before calming down and calling it a night. Amidst our list 3 nights ago, froggies right eye came loose-mind you its literally a piece of thick thread (or yarn maybe) notted at the end to make an eye-in an effort to not lose this piece, I pulled on it and put it aside for Dr Mommy to fix the eye later.
AJ literally started FREAKING OUT. Crying hysterically, squirming all around and shaking. I truly thought that the poor child was simply devistated that his little froggie was not "broken"; so I continued shoving the frog in his face making funny noises and trying to be silly to show him the frog is really still ok. This only made matters worse, WAY WORSE. AJ then started saying "no" repeatedly and turning away. It was then that I realized he was PETRIFIED of this one eyed psyclopse that used to be his cuddly friend. He wanted froggie no where near him.
Thankfully after removing the frog from his room it only took 2 hours to calm him down enough to go to sleep for the night.
Over the past 3 days now we have had many encounters with other frogs, you would be amazed at how many cartoons and story books feature a cute little froggie of their own, all ending with AJ shaking, crying and saying no in this quivery little voice.
Now for the bomb shell... AJ has a frog costume for halloween! How fun do you think it will be to get the poor little guy in that thing tomorrow evening! I will let you know....

Introductions
I have finally joined the world of blogging! Yay!! It reminds me of an old 80's trend-everyone is doing it, so why not try it out myself. Now if I can only be as interesting as the other blogs I read daily!
Alright, back on track. I am the mommy of 2 wonderful little boys, BA 3 and AJ 2 (almost). They certainly keep me busy and on my toes at all times. Pops and I had the bright idea that it would be "fun" to have our kids close together-haha, fun is an understatement. Life has certainly been crazy for the past 2 years, but I wouldnt change it for the world.
Stay tuned for more fun..
